Ty Manning - Guitars, Vocals
Ty is from Brantley County, Georgia. In case you're wondering, that's where the Okeefenokee Swamp sits. There are alligators in his parents' yard (no shit). Played in Skillet. Has powerful connections at The Cheetah in Atlanta. Does a little painting on the side... preferably on a woman's backside...
Mark Durfield - Guitars, Vocals
Originally from Stone Mountain, Georgia. Grew up thinking that Johnny Cash was part of the Holy Trinity. Walked out of Sunday School when told otherwise. Knows what the ladies want. It's the black leather hat. He's sensitive to jokes about farm animals. Requires a full-time live-in personal manager just to keep him out of trouble...
Jon Tonge - Bass
Middle representative of the Tonge Clan, from Waycross, Georgia. Played in Skillet. Heartbreaker. Reads constantly. Writes five songs a day, every day. Gathers misdemeanor violations like a bee gathers pollen. Likes to hide behind newspaper stands and frighten small children for entertainment. Been known to toss furniture from a balcony...
Josh Skelton - Drums
From Hartwell, Georgia. Played in Tanker. Well tattooed. Spiritual leader of the band (who are unfortunately not paying attention). Don't dare get in a bidding war with him for a t-shirt at Coyote Ugly. Adds a little "peace & love" sophistication to a band full of inbred rednecks...
Part-Time Hookers
Scotty Nicholson - Keyboards, Guitars, Vocals, & Trains
Scotty sits in with the Hookers from time to time, when we're lucky. His extrodinary talents can be heard on both of the Hooker's records. Played with Soul Miner's Daughter & The Jennifer Nettles Band. Lives under a railroad trestle. Known around town as Obi-Wan-Kenobi. Scotty can scat!
Steve LaBate - Guitars, Vocals, & Cheetah Dancers
Steve is from Boston... and we forgive him. Sits in with the Hookers when he can. Steve has contributed some amazing guitar work on both of the Hooker's records. He is an Assistant Editor with Paste Magazine (which we'll get around to doing an in-depth interview for when our schedule opens up a bit). He gets to meet lots of rock stars.
Marcus Thompson - Slide Guitar & Mississippi Connections
Marcus plays in lots of bands (Lona, The Chasers, Still Small Voices & the Joyful Noise). But we think he does his best work with the Hookers. Recorded & mixed Life at the Bar. One of the infamous Thompson Brothers from Northwestern Mississippi. Marcus has actually studied music... as opposed to the rest of of who have consumed liquor while playing and listening to music.
Hookers 'n Friends
Get to know the Hookers. We're all really nice guys... so long as you don't run out of Miller High Life, Lynyrd Skynyrd albums, and Waffle House waitresses looking for short, meaningless relationships. Run short on those and things could get ugly...
